MEF-NF Online Digital eLearning Course – A Guide to Network Foundations

$595.00

MEF-NF will provide you with an overview of MEF’s Software-Driven Network Vision and the important technologies that contribute towards this vision. It also assists in preparing for the MEF Network Foundations Professional Certification Exam (MEF-NF) that validates concept-level understanding of key Network terms, processes, and elements.

A transformation in data communications networks accelerates network operators’ abilities to deliver self-service, on-demand services over interconnected, multi-operator networks. The MEF’s Software-Driven Network Vision embodies this transformation by combining the on-demand agility and ubiquity of the Internet with the performance and security assurances of Carrier Ethernet Services.

Based on Network as a Service (NaaS) principles, the goal is to enable agile networks that deliver assured connectivity services orchestrated across network domains between physical or virtual service endpoints.

MEF Network Foundations (MEF-NF) Online Digital eLearning Course: A Guide to Network Foundations.

MEF Network Foundations (MEF-NF) is the foundation credential in a stack of professional-level certifications called the MEF Network Certification Framework. It validates at a concept level, the key terms, processes, and elements of today’s programmable networks.

This online course prepares you to take the certification exam.

This training consists of:

  • 5 eLearning videos

At the “Essential” level of the MEF Professional Certification Framework, is MEF-NF certification. It is a vendor-neutral exam and certification which test you at a conceptual knowledge level on the major domains of software-driven networking.

After completing MEF-NF, you will be able to:

  • Define and explain the characteristics and key benefits of an SDN solution
  • Compare the different characteristics of an SDN solution to those of its network predecessor
  • Understand how the various SDN technologies relate to each other and the major challenges presented Define and explain the characteristics and key benefits of an NFV solution
  • Compare the different characteristics of an NFV solution to those of its network predecessor
  • Understand how the various NFV technologies relate to each other and the major challenges presented by the move to an NFV networks
  • Define and explain the key characteristics and key benefits of an LSO solution
  • Compare the different characteristics of an LSO solution to those of its network predecessor
  • Understand how the various LSO technologies relate to each other and the major challenges presented by the move to an NFV networks
  • Define and explain the characteristics and key benefits of an Carrier-based Connectivity Services
  • Explain the roles of the organizations/actors involved in buying and selling carrier-based connectivity services
  • Understand the major challenges presented in deploying a carrier-based connectivity solution and how a solution would be implemented to leverage its benefits
  • Define and explain the characteristics and key benefits of the Network Foundations connectivity/functional service
  • Explain the predecessors to the Network Foundations as well as explain the major challenges in deploying the Network Foundations connectivity/functional service
  • Understand how the combinations of SDN, NFV, and LSO/orchestration are leveraged to form the Network Foundations connectivity/functional solutionsby the move to an SDN networks
